Lab Screamy
Following our inclusion on the BBC Introducing mixtape, ‘Lab Screamy’ from China (I think) wrote some lovely words about our track ‘Spun’. The translation from Chinese, using google translate, adds a certain gravitas. I like:-
“The Ballad from the British seaside town of Brighton, cold and simple melody of repeated maneuvers was a bit overwhelmed, as if suddenly hit back to the Middle Ages, the beauty of this ancient sort of a bit overwhelmed. But listen carefully you will find, this “minimalist” style is not simple! Experience spent on choreography, especially later in the last paragraph of the electro-acoustic effect, the finishing touch there. Songs such things always make people feel that is both mysterious and vaguely disturbed, the period of rotation “Spun spun spun”, the deep implication.”
Thanks Lab Screamy! Whoever you are.

The BBC Introducing Mixtape
Very chuffed to be included on this Tom Robinson BBC Introducing Mixtape.
Here is what Tom wrote about us:-
“The Creaking Chair is a Brighton-based musical project led by Andrew AC Cooper aided and abetted by one Ryan Bollard. Together with other local musicians they are also members of the Bouffant Collective which “represents a yearning to present art, music and performance in new spaces”. Accordingly Andrew and Ryan performed at the first of six “Laundry” sessions hosted by the collective around Brighton and Hove – in this case at The Laundromat in Powis Road.”
You can still download the podcast. Just three days left!

Recently I have been working with fellow Brighton musicians Hour Hands. I have been providing some additional production assistance for an E.P/Album release (coming soon) and have also recored a live video of a new song ’6/8′. This is all worth mentioning on this blog right now!
